Charge after man stabbed with axe in Acton Park
A man has been charged after a stabbing in Acton Park.
Adam Abdillahi, 45 (25.06.1980), of Australia Road, Hammersmith and Fulham, was arrested on Thursday, 9 April on suspicion of attempted murder.
He was charged on Friday, 10 April and appeared at Ealing Magistrates’ Court on the same day where he was remanded in custody.
A second man, aged 44, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Saturday, 4 April. He was later bailed.
Police were called to the parkland in Ealing following reports of an altercation at 17.29hrs on Thursday, 2 April.
Met officers attended and provided immediate first aid to a 31-year-old man, who was found on a footpath with a stab wound to his back.
He was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Met detectives are appealing for anyone who has information to get in touch.
Detective Inspector John Gillespie, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with the man and his family as he continues to receive medical treatment.
“This incident took place towards the bottom of the park, close to a busy main road, tennis courts and a mini golf course.
“If you were nearby and saw anything, or captured any footage on your phone, please come forward and speak to police.”
