A police officer is due to appear in court to face two charges of perverting the course of justice.

PC Stuart Laws, 40, has received a postal requisition in relation to two counts of committing an act/series of acts with intent to pervert the course of justice.

The charges relate to two separate incidents where he is alleged to have falsely claimed two on-duty speeding offences were committed whilst lawfully responding to emergency incidents.

The alleged incidents happened in August 2025, on the M27 and in December 2025, in Southampton.

He is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on 28 April. The officer, who is based in Winnall, is currently suspended from duty.
