Officers investigating a stabbing in Romsey have charged a man.

Hampshire Police were called 3.56pm on Friday, 22 May, to reports of fighting on Treviglio Close. On arrival, a man in his 50s was located with stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Daniel Eric Carter, 41, of Treviglio Close in Romsey, has been charged with attempted murder, criminal damage, assaulting an emergency worker, and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.

He appeared before Southampton Magistrates Court today, 25 May, where he was further remanded. He is next due to appear before Southampton Crown Court on 26 June.
