Thrill-seekers, action sports fans and families looking for a fun day out are invited to enjoy Limitless, a free high-energy event coming to Basingstoke’s War Memorial Park on Saturday 25 July, from 11am to 5pm.

Returning for its second year, the event, organised and funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, will bring an exciting line-up of stunts, demonstrations and opportunities for visitors to get involved in a range of activities throughout the day.

The action-packed programme features skateboarding demonstrations, mountain bike stunts and opportunities to try new activities, such as rock climbing, slacklining and parkour workshops from the local PFT Academy.

The team from The Stoke Park will be taking over the skatepark for a schedule of BMX sessions, with prizes up for grabs. Whether just starting out or ready to show off, all ages and skill levels will be welcomed.

Those needing a creative break in between the action can join the graffiti workshop, led by artist Willow the Wispa, who will be showing how to create graffiti lettering, paint characters and use spray paint in a fun and expressive way.

There will also be DJ workshops for those wanting to learn how to mix and transition the tracks of their favourite music.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Sports, Leisure and Culture Cllr Kerry Morrow said: “We recognised there is a gap in activities on offer locally for teenagers and young adults so last year we created this fantastic event. It’s back again this year to provide a unique opportunity for them to come together and try out some action sports and activities.

“There is so much to choose from, whether they want to watch the demonstrations, try something new, improve their skills or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Events like this help make the most of our parks, support active lifestyles and give residents another great reason to enjoy what Basingstoke and Deane has to offer.”
