An investigation into a stabbing in Belvoir Street last month is continuing – and officers have released images of four people they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Police were called at 12.25am on Sunday 12 July following a report a man had sustained stab wounds to his face.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Following further enquiries into the incident, it is believed the four men pictured may have information that could help.

Detective Constable Guy Spreadborough, the investigating officer, said: “We believe those pictured may have travelled from Nottinghamshire into Leicester to watch the England vs Norway game.

“I’m appealing for anyone who recognises the men and knows who they are – or those pictured themselves – to get in touch.”
