Man sentenced to prison for rape – Milton Keynes
A man has been jailed for eight years after being convicted of rape following a Thames Valley Police investigation.
Emmanuel Jeche, aged 28, formerly of Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, was sentenced at Amersham Crown Court on Thursday (2/7) after being found guilty by a jury of one count of rape.
The conviction followed an eight-day trial at Amersham Crown Court. On 14 May 2026, the jury unanimously found Jeche guilty.
The offence took place in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, during the early hours of 12 June 2021.
The victim reported the offence to police on 13 June 2021 and an investigation was launched. Jeche was arrested on 14 June 2021.
During the investigation, Jeche admitted that sexual intercourse had taken place but claimed it was consensual. He was subsequently charged and convicted by a jury.
Investigating officer Police Staff Investigator David Brandon, of Milton Keynes CID, said: “No sentence can ever compensate a victim for the trauma caused by a rape offence and the long-term effects such crimes can have.
“However, I hope this sentence provides the victim with a sense of closure and allows her to continue rebuilding her life following this awful experience.
“I would like to commend the courage and determination shown by the victim throughout the investigation and court process.
“Rape and other sexual offences can have a devastating impact on victims. We will continue to investigate these offences thoroughly, support victims and pursue those responsible through the courts.”
Anybody who has been the victim of a sexual offence can report it to Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or by making a report online. In an emergency, always call 999.
