Meet the new Mayor of Fareham
The new Mayor of Fareham for 2026/27 has been appointed, following the Mayor Making ceremony at Fareham Live on 14 May. Councillor Tina Ellis is now the Mayor of Fareham and her husband Cllr Robert Ellis will support her as Mayor’s Consort.
This year the Mayor will be supporting the following charities:
- The Rainbow Centre – Changing lives for children and adults with neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries, since 1990.
- Gosport & Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (GAFIRS) – one of the busiest lifeboat stations in the UK.
- The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) – The official charity of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, providing lifelong support for serving Navy, veterans and families when they need it most.
- Vetlife – Providing independent, confidential and free help for everyone in the veterinary community including veterinary nurses, students and non-clinical staff.
Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Tina Ellis, said: “I am extremely honoured to become the new Mayor of Fareham. This continues a family tradition of public service, as I am following in the footsteps of my father, Alderman Leslie Keeble, who was also a former Mayor of Fareham. I am delighted to be serving my community for the next year, alongside my husband Robert and also supporting my chosen charities. I am looking forward to promoting them and helping to fundraise so that they can all continue their vital work.”
The new Mayor’s Cadet for 2026/27 is Isabelle Wood from Warsash Sea Cadets (Royal Marines Cadet Detachment). Isabelle will take part in various duties to support Cllr Tina Ellis throughout the coming year, including attending civic events, wreath bearing and church readings.
