Gym users in Melksham can now enjoy new equipment, more training space and an improved gym layout at Melksham Community Campus.

The gym has been refreshed to create more room for strength and functional training, with a range of new equipment designed to give users greater choice and flexibility as they work towards their fitness goals.

The refurbishment reflects growing demand for strength and functional fitness training and includes:

• A larger free weights area, providing more space for strength-based workouts
• New functional training equipment to support a wider range of exercises and workout styles
• Additional cable machines that offer greater exercise variety and flexibility
• New assisted strength equipment, helping users build confidence and develop upper-body strength
• New resistance and conditioning equipment targeting key muscle groups across the upper and lower body

The improvements come at a great time for anyone considering joining the gym. Until 25 October, new members signing up to eligible Life Zone and Fitness Zone memberships will pay no administration fee, saving £25.

David Redfern, Director of Leisure, Culture and Communities at Wiltshire Council, said: ” We’re delighted to welcome members to the refreshed gym at Melksham Community Campus. The new layout and equipment provide more space and a greater range of training options, whether members are looking to improve their fitness, build strength, support their wellbeing or simply become more active.

“Leisure centres play an important role in helping residents stay active and healthy, and the refreshed gym at Melksham offers more space and a wider range of equipment to support different fitness goals and abilities.

“Whether you’re already a regular gym user or thinking about joining for the first time, there’s never been a better time to come and see what the upgraded facility has to offer.”
