Three arrested after cannabis factory discovered in Farnborough address
Three people have been arrested after a cannabis factory was discovered in a residential property in Farnborough.
The local Neighbourhood Enforcement Team attended the address on Maskell Way yesterday (8 October) following reports of suspicious activity.
Once inside, approximately 53 plants were found in various stages of growth, with a significant quantity of harvested plants also located.
A 24-year-old man from Farnborough, a 25-year-old man from Staines-Upon-Thames, and a 32-year-old man from Reading were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a Class B drug. They remain in custody at this time.
We know some people think it is just a bit of cannabis, but we want to stress that any production of drugs is linked to hidden harm.
Large-scale operations are often run by organised crime gangs, who are likely to engage in very serious violence involving weapons, such as firearms.
The electrical requirement to grow a large number of plants is also dangerous and can be a huge fire risk, putting neighbouring properties, and lives, in danger.
We encourage people to please continue to report suspicious behaviour and suspected drug dealing in your neighbourhood to police, as the information you provide helps us develop the bigger picture that leads us to take action and remove drugs from the streets.
